Adults only
Because LIAN connects strangers by live video, every learner and conversation partner must confirm they are at least 18 years old before entering a room. The service is not directed to children.
Suspected underage account
Do not continue a session if you reasonably believe the other participant is under 18. Leave, submit a safety report, and do not request identity documents or private contact details from them.
Platform response
LIAN may suspend access while reviewing an age-safety report and may request proportionate age assurance through an approved provider. Accounts confirmed to belong to minors will be removed, subject to legally required record retention.
Future youth product
Any future service for minors would require a separate risk assessment, age-appropriate design, guardian consent where required, stronger moderation, and separate terms. Adult LIAN accounts do not authorize a child to participate.
